Visions of Earth - National Geographic Magazine

The section Visions of Earth is coming back each month presenting three images featuring breathtakin photographs from around the planet.

In the January 2010 issue an image Magnus is published in the international National Geographic Magazine. The image is showing a large group of sperm whales, Physeter macrocephalus, sleeping in vertical position. Little is known to science about these whales sleeping behaviour.
